Maha Shivaratri Celebration 2025 – VHP Guyana

VHP Guyana proudly hosted Maha Shivaratri celebrations across the country, uniting devotees in profound spiritual observance and devotion to Lord Shiva. The event, held in numerous mandirs, was a heartfelt expression of faith, renewal, and transformation.

The festivities took place across several regions, including:
- Berbice
- East Coast Demerara (ECD)
- Georgetown
- East Bank Demerara (EBD)
- West Coast Demerara (WCD)
- Bartica
- Essequibo
Key Spiritual Activities
Japa (Chanting): Devotees collectively chanted “Om Namah Shivaya,” fostering deep spiritual connection.
Jalabhishek: Sacred water offerings to the Shiva Lingam accompanied by prayers and bhajans.
Offering of Rudraksha Beads: 1,008 Rudraksha Malas and 501 individual beads were distributed across 60 mandirs, strengthening the spiritual bond of devotees.

Total Participants: 1,435 devotees
Total Om Namah Shivaya Chants: 342,180
Expressions of Gratitude
The celebration deeply moved many attendees, including Lakshmi Narayan Mandir President Ram Dutt Ji, who expressed heartfelt appreciation for receiving his first Rudraksha Mala. Devotees from Edward Mandir also shared their gratitude, recognizing the event’s immense spiritual significance.
