Vishwa Hindu Parishad – Guyana proudly coordinated the Ganesh Chaturthi 2025 celebrations across the nation, uniting Hindus under the blessings of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the harbinger of wisdom, prosperity, and harmony.
This sacred festival was celebrated with devotion, enthusiasm, and cultural vibrancy at 37 participating mandirs, involving 745 devotees nationwide. For the first time, the event was observed simultaneously across multiple regions of Guyana, making it a historic and spiritually uplifting occasion.
🌸 Festival Highlights
The celebrations began on August 27 with the Pran Pratishtha of Lord Ganesha Vigrahs in participating mandirs, followed by special poojas and offerings. Over the next two days, daily poojas, bhajans, satsangs, and cultural performances filled the mandirs with divine energy. Youth and children actively participated through devotional songs, dances, and chanting of Ganesh Stotras and Hanuman Chalisa.
On August 30, at 5:00 PM, devotees joined a nationwide collective chanting of “Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha” 1008 times via Zoom, followed by a synchronized Aarati at 5:30 PM. This powerful moment connected hearts and mandirs across the country in one spiritual rhythm.
The grand finale was the Ganesh Visarjan Rally and Procession, where devotees carried the Moorti of Lord Ganesha on decorated carts and palanquins, singing, dancing, and chanting “Ganpati Bappa Morya! Pudhchya Varshi Lavkar Ya!”. The celebration concluded with the immersion of the Vigrahs in nearby seas, creeks, and rivers.
🌿 Eco-Friendly & Unified Celebration
To ensure the festival remained eco-friendly and spiritually uplifting, VHP Guyana provided every mandir with a Panchagavya Ganesha Vigrah, printed T-shirts, flags, and banners. These efforts encouraged environmental responsibility while creating a unified national atmosphere of devotion.
