Maha Shivaratri was celebrated across Guyana through a coordinated effort by Vishwa Hindu Parishad Guyana in collaboration with mandirs nationwide. The celebration was dedicated to devotion to Lord Shiva and strengthening unity within the Hindu community.
A total of 42 mandirs from the West Coast, East Coast, West Bank, East Bank, Berbice, Bartica, and Essequibo participated in the sacred observance. Mandirs organized special pooja, Jalabhisheka, Om Namah Shivaya chanting, bhajans, and night prayers, creating a deeply spiritual and peaceful atmosphere for devotees.
With the full support of mandir committees and community members, the celebrations were conducted successfully across all regions. Devotees gathered in large numbers to offer prayers and seek the blessings of Lord Shiva, reflecting strong faith and dedication within the Hindu community.
